He doesn’t speak a word of English and flees every time her boss shows up. Danielle is slowly losing her mind. With more ghostly happenings and violent incidents occurring every day, Danielle soon starts to realise that all of these various elements are connected. A dark, angry spirit is bubbling beneath the surface of Astoria and the awakening rage could threaten the fate of the entire universe.

Naomi and her killer formed a bond at the time of her death, 40 years prior to the main events of this suspense thriller which seemed peaceful at the time but as time went on that turned to rage. Revenge is mine thinks Naomi.Quite early on it is obvious that there are other beings involved in this story as the main characters wander down a street in their small town of Hal’s Cove, a street that is well known to them, which no longer looks like it should.
A fast moving action and adventure book you will not want to stop reading as the characters keep coming across different and unknown changes that keep them on edge. The small town is finding dead bodies at different times but no-one can work out what is causing this to happen.
The events in the story rip apart the connection between two sisters and their friend.
Is it aliens, is it demons? It is definitely supernatural but that still does not answer the question on the minds of the residents in Hal’s Cove.

The suspense and mystery this book gives are what makes it more interesting. The flow of events invokes a feeling of thrill that would really impel you to become more curious of the future happenings. Each character has its own intriguing personality. I think this one good book for suspense/horror book lovers.
Ghosts of the North Shore is one of those amazingly unique books. It's hard to even put it in a specific genre because it dabbles in a few of them. It's a mix of mystery, sci-fi, mystery, and suspense.
It has ghost sheep AND aliens...need I say more?!
I initially bought this for my fourteen year old daughter, and I always skim the books before I let her read them. Only this time I got sucked right into the story and didn't resurface until I had read the whole thing!
Now she is half way through it and she loves it as well.
Great book, don't miss out!
I was confused from the beginning of the book. I didn't think it was spooky more on the strange side. It went from murder to strange phone calls to ghost sheep to another universe of beings that for one was over 30 years and for man she was to marry mere minutes in time. You have to keep reading just to see if it was going to make sense at some but for me it didn't.
Another great novel that made me so alive. Get your body ready for action and suspense as this book gives you an extra dose of adrenaline. I stayed up late trying to figure out what’s going to happen on Danielle’s spooky adventure in the town. You will experience supernatural realms in this book as well, there’s just enough enchantment and mystery in this book to make you want to know more. Great read; I enjoyed every single page of it.
Suspenseful! A great book of horror illusions and strange events happening with the presence of supernatural beings. The character has shown the psychological suspense thriller that would surely keeps you guessing until the end but gets you going to read more and more. Interesting in every situation as it’s explosively dropping off different twists and turns of unusual thrill and suspense. It keeps your eyes stick on the story line for excitement and thrill word for word. Another great work for the author! Perfectly deserve five stars!
Part alien takeover, part ghost story, and part teen romance, Ghosts of the North Shore is a strange mash up of genres that somehow manage to work.
Odd things are happening in the small beach town of Hal’s Cove—sheep are being slaughtered, people are going missing, cell phones calls are dangerous, and only Jeannie Rowland and her best friend Dex seem to notice that something is amiss.
“Ghosts of the North Shore” is funny and inventive and I couldn’t help but read it in one sitting. The characters are great (even the alien characters are good) and the book is plotted in a way that keeps you guessing but doesn’t frustrate you by dragging things out for too long.
This is a fun read, and fans of ghost stories, aliens, or the supernatural should all find something to enjoy in this book.
James Kipling writes an exciting, spell-binding novel that mixes various genres of paranormal, science fiction, romance, and adventure. The prologue starts off with a mysterious murder and then flash forward forty years later, Jeannie's character is introduced on the day of her 17th birthday. Kipling delves into the mind of a teenage girl quite well. In fact, this book is geared towards teenagers and young adult readers.
Not only does Ghost of the North Shore include engaging characters and a unique plot, it even deals with aliens (and I thought the ghosts were creepy). There's a lot going on in this book so you're constantly questioning each character's motive. I also enjoyed reading the dynamic between Jeannie and her best friend, Dex. If you're in the mood for a great thrill ride with a few twists and turns, Ghosts of the North Shore is a great read.
